About Us

The County Group was formed in 2003 and soon set out on the acquisition trail, purchasing two high street insurance brokerages in the first two years. 

For the next 7 years, we had a focus on organic growth that saw the opening of our two customer contact centres in Crewe and Southport providing quotes and policies for customers across the country coupled with great customer service delivered by our specialist teams. 

In 2011 our Group Managing Director Alastair joined the board and we started executing the plan to “bring insurance back to the community”. With our buying power we were able to revitalise local brands and supercharge the customer offering.

We have not stood still as Alastair has overseen over twenty acquisitions in the last 8 years we now have branches stretching across the North of England and Wales, the Midlands and as far South as Worthing. We employ over 300 employees and handle over £100m of GWP.
